My treatments are deep tissue-focused.

I use a blend of Trigger Point, Muscle Energy Technique, Joint Mobilization, Myofascial Release, and General Swedish Massage to lull each person into a relaxed state to attain the maximum benefit from each treatment.

Trigger Point

Commonly known as knots.

Trigger Points build up in the tissue with everything we do. They are a natural byproduct of repetitive strain injuries. Through work, recreation and even brushing your teeth, you use some muscle fibers more than others. This causes those fibers to constrict, and, over time, blood flow is reduced and waste product builds up. Then, one day you can’t turn your head.

Trigger point therapy reduces these points by depriveing the constricted tissue of the oxygen it requires. This encourages the muscles to relax, decreasing pain and increases range of motion and stamina.

Muscle Energy Technique

I use your muscle strength, to realign your bones and joints.

This is an incredibly effective treatment for Sacroiliac (SI) rotations, or sacral displacement, spinal misalignment, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ, jaw pain & poping), and rib outages.

Joint Mobilization

This is work on the joint capsule and the ligaments that cross the affected joint. It allows me to work on conditions that involve capsular restriction (like frozen shoulder), increase mobility to a restricted joint after an injury (like a sprain or strain), and maintain range of motion either pre or post-surgery. This technique can also decrease some types of joint pain.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is used to soften tight muscle, decrease adhesions, lengthen shortened muscles and generally decrease stiffness, soreness, fatigue, and pain. This technique is effective on Repetitive Strain Injury (RPI) from working a day job and recreational activities. Deep massage can be incredibly relaxing and at the same time, a bit of a workout because the goal is to restore function, help you cope with RPI, and get you back on your lines of gravity (improve your posture).
